“The COVID-19 pandemic has forced an unprecedented shift in how and where many workers complete their daily ‘9-5’. Working at home for an extended period has compounded the desire to explore new places, take in sites and scenery, and experience something new,” Nisreene Atassi, the senior director, communications at Expedia, told Travel + Leisure of the sale. “Built on the wanderer mindset of today’s work from anywhere professionals, ‘Work From Here’ celebrates a new global culture that allows employees the freedom to balance work with travel.”
“When we can travel freely again, we want to inspire workers to think differently about their workspace to create happier, more productive experiences, which would benefit not only employees but also employers,” Atassi added.
Log in for a meeting from underneath a beach umbrella in Key West or sip a key lime colada from a hammock for the ultimate post-work happy hour at the Parrot Key Hotel & Villas.
A charming southern getaway more your speed? Check in to the Emeline in Charleston (voted the country’s best city by Travel + Leisure’s readers for eight years in a row), where guests can get inspired by effortless retro and chic decor while getting prepared for the day with smart amenities like a bedside charging cube. And the hotel will even accommodate your furry coworkers with a “Pawsome Package,” complete with a custom-made dog treat by their in-house pastry chef, a dog mat, bowl, and bed.
A stay at The Scott Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Ariz. is also an option where instead of a lunch break, one can opt for a massage instead.
